They're all female-- I assume since I'm male, they're attempting to get my interest that way, and their profiles are always done up so as to make them seem like attractive and fun girls. I get dozens of messages and friend requests per month, usually many of them already deleted by MySpace ("Profile No Longer Exists").
I guess my question is, what do the people behind these profiles get out of it?? Do they get money somehow? Are they trying to scam people? What in the world makes it so appealing to do this that it happens so often?
Why do I get friend-requests from dozens of fake Myspace profiles per month?
You are correct. They get money.
Basicly, someone makes a MySpace account, adds 10,000 or so friends, and then offers on internet forums to post a bulletin to the highest bidder promoting whatever service they run.

They are stealing your password. Never except them. Go to edit friends and delete them all. I had 10 on mine. Then got to edit comments and delet the ones there.
