Is their any way of telling if a friend has a fake myspace account from their real one?

I'm sure a friend has made up a fake profile on myspace to message me with, is their a way how i can find out or not, ie, through messaging ect, their doesn't seem to be an .p address like in emails.

make a fake one yourself and contact them and see what they say

If they're really stupid then you'll see your mate go offline, and then not long after this other person will appear online, and they'll never be online at the same time.

I'm guessing if the have made up a fake account for whatever reason, they aren't clever enough to cover their tracks.

There's no way of telling (without being myspace admin) what the IP address is on a myspace account.

You could always try messaging the 'other person' saying something about your mate, not horrible, but just something that would annoy them, and you'll be able to tell from their reaction whether it was them who read it.
