I made a fake myspace of my friend for fun and now his dad messaged me saying that if i dont delete it he will sue. can he really press charges?

Yes. If you have defamed the character of your friend your friend can sue. Honestly, such a lawsuit would be frivolous and wouldn't be worth the time to file unless you severely damaged someones character. Best bet is to delete the profile and message his father to tell him you deleted it and say that you're sorry.
